Will the car run and/or be harmed with the gears installed without the Stage 1 map installed in the Xede?

OR, do I have to upload the map before the car is even started after the gears are in?

OR, can I install the Stage 1 map before the gears are installed, so the map is in place ahead of time?

Good questions...wish I could help you.

I would guess putting the gears on without the Stage 1 map would be better than the other way around. That way at least your timing, etc. isn't tuned more aggressively than what the stock gears & settings can handle.

I could be, and most likely am, completely wrong though...just thinking out loud 'till somone with experience or from Vishnu comments.

you will be fine installing the gears before the xede map....we have done this a few times now...

 

Thanks Andrew, I was concerned about the installers moving the car around after the install and/or the map not loading correctly before I drive it home. The 0+ map is on the Xede now.
