Bushur Upper IC Pipe Kit and Vishnu Stage 1/1+?

Hi all,

I'm getting tired of blowing my air intake hose off the throttle body, so I'm investigating some improved solutions (crazy glue is starting to look good). Obviously Vishnu sells Samco hoses. I'm not really thrilled about using hose, so I'm curious to see if anyone has used the Bushur Upper Intercooler Pipe Kit on a Vishnu stage 1 or 1+ car?

Thanx...

id imagine very few do, primarily b/c the Buschur pipe requires you to run an open element intake, which most Vishnu-ers dont have, unless theyve been custom tuned by Shiv.

Ah, I did not realize that it didn't work with the stock airbox. Scratch that one off the list then...

Thanks for the info.

Gruppe-S will soon be getting Helix IC pipes that should work w/ the stock air box. I have talked to Cal a few times about this and may even let them test fit on my car since I still have my stock air box and have no intention of replacing it.

I hope the Helix IC pipes clear the stock battery too.

Vishnu has these heavy duty self torquing hose clamps that he uses on the Samco hoses now. They're used on diesel engines. I doubt you'll pop one of those off. You'd probably tear a hose first.

I've read in one of the threads that the Buschur upper intercooler pipe does work with the stock air box. If you are interested in good T-Bolt clamps, these guys make some great ones. http://www.hosetechniques.com/

Well, here's the deal with the BR hard pipes: the upper hardpiping requires the conversion to the mini-battery. In order to fit the mini battery you've got to use the open air intake. If BR modified the battery bracket then the airbox could remain stock. If you devise you're own mini battery tray you might be able to retain the stock box too.

couldn't you run something like the rallyarmor battery tray offered here in EvoJimbo's group buy? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=battery+tray

I really like this tray, obviously works well with the Braile battery I run, looks snazzy and also looks like it would clear the stock air box.

Another possibility is the Dejon Tool upper intercooler pipe http://dejontool.com/Evolution.htm#U...rcooler%20Pipe. I E-Mailed them a while back and they said that their pipe will clear the stock air box and will work with the stock battery as long as you used a stock style BOV.
