Max power on stock turbo with 91 oct

What dyno numbers have you seen and what else was used or can be used to maximize a stage 1+ car?

O2 Housing?
Manifold?
Intercooler/piping?

RNR's tubular manifold looks and sounds impressive - They said they would develop one for the stock turbo if there was enough interest. Also, Borla has one with a Lifetime Warranty.

Vishnu any opinions on their (RNR/Borla) manifolds?

bump &

sounds like a tubular header would make a complete stage 1+ IMO

i am sure shiv could tune the xede for the nitrous. at least i hope he can, because i am leaning in that direction after my stage 2 is complete.

Most guys w/ the stage 1+ are pretty much at the limits of their stock turbos. I am not too sure if Shiv recommends putting an aftermarket exhaust manifold because the stock one is a perfect match for the stock turbo. Plus their expensive and there might not be that much of a gain in horsepower. I believe Vishnu is working on some type of turbo housing that is off the Evo VI, which might give an easy 10-15 more ponies.

True and the reliability issues. We will see if there is advantages of the 10.5 as well as tubular mannies but in all honesty a stage 1 on racegas or octane increaser is an absolute blast on the road and track

Slapped on an upgraded intercooler (which shall remain nameless) and had Shiv retune the car on both 91 and C16.
He pulled out 280whp on the 91 map w/ no problems.

Next came the racemap. First pull 342whp. Holy shi*. I couldn't believe it. I was thinking I might pull low 320s at most. Next several pulls were in the 340+whp range.

All of a sudden Shiv was getting something similar to a cut in the upper rpm ranges on the next few runs. To be on the safe side he detuned the map a bit.
Seems we found the limit of the stock injectors. They do not seem to like anything over 320swhp on Shiv's dyno. (360whp dynojet whp)

The lesson learned from the tune:
the stock turbo is not as small as thought. On racegas w/ stage 1+ and upgraded intercooler and injectors 350whp on dd dyno or (400whp dynojet)
is possible.
On the streetmap an upgraded intercooler will not yield as much gain. I gained 8whp on 91. On a 93 map perhaps 12-15whp is a definite possibility.

Hope this helps. Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit.
