P300x Misfire with XFlash??

Have you changed/upgraded your exhaust system? How about clutch?
In general, does your car "emit" more vibrations, since modding?
I know my car has...reason I'm asking is that I've heard theories about drivetrain/tranny noise as the cause of the P0300 code.
However, I get mine in 5th, about 80+ mph, and about 3000+ rpms...cruising, feathering the throttle...when the drivetrain, in general, feels relatively "smooth".
I assume the load in the engine is heaviest, when on 5th gear....
So I don't know about that theory...and why so random?
I've also disconnected (for about 300 mi) the Xede, and the error never came out.
Now that is really weird, I think.
Anyway, this issue has been beaten to death in several threads before....with still no concrete explanation. It's been awhile, and I guess for those who are just experiencing it...well I've had it for about 30,000 miles now...all I can say is that the P0300 error never really caused any major/minor damage to the car. Annoying, but that's about it.

installed Xede at 12000 miles stage 1. Installed cams at 16000 stage 1+. Installed
Exede twin plate clutch at 23000 miles. 1st P300 code at 31000 miles. Codeset at 2-5 gear at low RPM light throttle pressure. Same thing on highway around 70 MPH 5th gear light throttle and code would set. The harder you push the car and the throttle the longer it would take for the code to set. Like I said in the previous post unplugged Xede cleared code and wouldn't set running on OEM computer. Talked to Vishnu there was a firmware update 1.7 that seemed to take care of the P300 code, which would only set with Xede in it. Now everthing seems to be fine, would call Vishnu to see if the problem is in your Xede. Because I did not get the code with the OEM computer.

I've thrown that code twice in the 25,000 miles since I bought this car new. Both times, I was at partial throttle no boost in 4th gear at 5500-6000rpm. It hiccups for a second then throws the light.
