Well, we think we found a fix. At least on the car we have been playing around with. But to confirm things, we'd like to test it on more EVOs. So if anyone local has cronic (more cronic the better) P0300 issues, PM me and we can try something out on your car. It involves a quick diagnostic and a few runs of dyno testing. All free of charge.
This "fix" is done through the XEDEFlash and XEDE so you will need to be equipped with both items. This fix does not apply to XFlash-only cars since a good portion of the "fix" in incorporated in the XEDE hardware. I'm putting "" around "fix" until we can confirm that it is indeed a fix
But we're pretty hopeful...

Can you not figure out how to fix it with XFlash-only cars like the dealer or the other XFlash manufacturers?-M

Hmm..is it a problem with the ECU or the knock sensor? Perhaps a better designed knock sensor would be better as it wouldn't be so sensitive in the first place and throw the code.

You have my PM. My car started throwing P0300 codes at about 22K, and hasn't stopped since. It's gotten to the point where if I run the car for more than 30 minutes it will definitely throw the code. At times the code will trip within a minute or two of starting the engine.
I even keep a code scanner in the glove box for clearing them.

Hey Shiv...you flashed me at XS a couple of weeks ago. I havent seen any of what is being talked about here...do I need to worry about anything, or is this just a nuisance? If I get this code, what happens? By the way, my setup was completely stock.
