Talking I Dynamatted my exhaust

I have a Vishnu Signature series (dump-back w/ hi-flow cat) exhaust on my Evo. All-in-all I absolutely LOVE it, however the exhaust does tend to drone at highway speeds. I'm sure the fact that I removed all my trunk lining isn't helping, but in any case ... I got kinda sick of hearing it, so I decided to undertake a little experiment - dampening the sound of the Magnaflow muffler.

Off to Best Buy and bought a sheet of Dynamat ... washed the underbody right above and next to the muffler ... dried it thoroughly... and stuck on the sheet of dynamat (I'll post pics once I get my digital cam back).

I've had it on the car for about a week, and there is definitely a noticeable difference at lower speeds. Putzing around town, the interior is much quieter, probably even better than the stock exhaust. Cruising down the interstate still tends to drone, but now I'm back to where the noise off the Advans are about equeal to the exhaust note. All-in-all I'd definitely recommend this mod ... HOWEVER, I do not know how well Dynamat will stand up to stop-and-go traffic on a hot and humid day nor do I know how well it'll hold in the middle of a cold Chicago winter...

A FYI note to anyone and I dont know if Ludikraut has this but Brian and I experimented with punched out highflow cats for a bit more HP anyway an unwanted side affect was a noticable increase of droning and seeming that the drone was right behind the front seats instead of outside the car like the regular series(AND EVEN WITH THE TESTPIPES).

Nah, I just run the regular plain vanilla hi-flow cat.

Since I drove a modified Subaru and Hondas before, this exhaust is music to my ears.

The sheet I bought was 4 square feet (32" x 18") for ~$30 and I still had a little bit left over at the end.

Think dynomatting the bottom of the trunk with dynomat would add the same effect ? If not better ?
