News and Updates for September-October

Hi guys,

I just got back from Detroit and figured i'd spill some news.

Check out the next Tuner Transformation episode (airing at the end of the month). It's on the Speed channel. We are exclusively featured in this episode, upgrading a stock EVO to a full Stage 1+ (complete with secondary fuel tank/switching system and 10.5 turbo housing), big stoptech brakes, rear airpan, etc,. This was the reason I was in Toronto last month.

Check out next month's issue of Car and Driver magazine where we competed in the 2004 Supercar Challenge. Rumor has it that it's a good read.

Of course, the Supercar Challenge will also be covered on Car and Driver Television where you can see some interviews and some footage of a silly red EVO beating up on some juiced-up exotica.

Check out the following months issue of Car and Driver where we installed and tuned a Stage 1+ kit in their long-term EVO. It's rare C&D reviews aftermarket performance kit but apparantly the flowers paid off

Check out next month's issue of Turbo Magazine where we tuned their Project EVO and got some pretty surprising results.

As for upcoming events, we'll be at Turbotrix (New Jersey) next weekend to tune 25 EVOs and WRX in 3 days!

And we're going back to Dyno4mance (Atlanta, GA) two weeks later for another tuning fest. EVO Stg 3 galore

Cheers,
Shiv

Shiv, you might want to consider hiring more staff because the boys may just be inundated with calls trying to buy State 1+ kits. I sure hope the fab guys can keep up! The price of fame may become a heavy burden soon...congrats!

Shiv - It was nice meeting u at Payn yesterday. I can't wait to get the 272s and Xede. I'll post in detail all the results after everything is tuned in the next couple of weeks. Lets see how much power i make with the stuff Tom's putting on the car. I really liked your exhaust on the C&D car and can't wait to read everything in the magazine next month. Not sure if you want to spill all the info or not so I won't say anything. I'll probably post my questions after the issue is out.
thanks

Hey Shiv,

I might not see eye to eye with you on every point or process of business, but I want to congratulate and applaud you on all the PR and business opportunities you have created for your company from hard work, persistence, creativity, cleverness, and effective branding/community building. More power to you.

We dont solicit anything the Phone or the doorbell rings and we answer it. People think Shiv is some marketing guru - thats not the case customers racing, shiv refusing to get off the dyno till 1 am, taking care of quirks, problems, issues in a professional way, and Delivering what we say. These guys could call anybody we are proud they chose us.

Thanks Percy. But like Dave said, we don't actively seek out these PR opportunities. We simply accept offers. There is a lot riding on such tests and documentaries. Parts failure or other unforseen problems can destroy you. Having to postpone production schedule because something didn't fit, didn't work as promised, or makes 30 less horsepower than expected is bad for everyone involved. That said, we've developed a reputation that seems to make us popular with the press. We're not afraid to put our parts and tuning on the line. We always try to deliver what we say we are going to deliver and that seems to make everyone happy. If that is "creating PR opportunities" and "effective branding" then i'm suprised why more people aren't doing it.

As for location, Malibujack, we're not in the best place as far as PR goes. That would be LA or the more central Detroit area. Traveling does get tiring but so far everything has been worth it. Hiring more people? Maybe soon.....

Regards,
shiv

More hotties? I never looked at David, Brian, or Dustin that way. Of course, you may think that Brandon is kinda cute! Shiv is quite the pretty boy too, don't forget. Oh! There is one hottie there...Brianna! BOING, BOING!
