Help me make a desicion...

I'm currently running xede, vishnu cam gears, 2.75dp and stock cat, and stock back exhaust.

I want reasonably quiet car, can't' make up my mind if I should add the catback exhaust or cams.

So the setup is stage 1 with cams and stock exhaust

or

Stage 1 w/quiet 3" exhaust

Which setup would give better results with custom tune?

Hi Jorge Shiv had to run around with a 1+ with a 3" DP/cat and stock Catback to lay low for a while (cause we know he wasnt going to curb his driving habits ) Worked perfectly he was down 15 or so WHP from other stage 1+s but it was really cool driving a quiet very powerful car that was so stealth. The 272I/264E would be the choice for ultimate stealth on this setup

David,

Can you clarify "3-5 less torque to the left and all the HP"? To the left of what? By "all the HP", I presume you mean compared to the 264/272 HP. I hope I'm right!

You are right. To the left is "Down Low Torque" I might just be overscrutinizing charts but seemingly it looses a small amount. Well see what Shiv thinks as far as that otherwise HP is identical

Hi Jorge T, I've driven Vishnu's shop car with the stage 1+ and stock cat back exhaust. It is more quiet compare to my ful stage 1+ car. My ful stage 1+ pulls just a little harder though...

Cool thanks!

Does anyone know if the rating of the stock wastegate spring is 10 psi or more?

Forge makes a wastegate for the stock turbo and the springs can be changed. I want to try a stiffer spring and see if this helps out to eliminate boost taper. My theory is the spring is too soft and the flapper opens up at high rpm even with the solenoid at 100% open, my goal is to run 20-21 psi to 7.4krpm
