Do I need a fuel pump?

Hi,
I have the following mods:
Helix Downpipe, stock catalytic converter, HKS catback, K&N filter, Xede piggyback, and Vishnu cam gears. My question is if my car is safe for just short 1/4 mile sprints. I plan on getting the Walbro, but I want to run it at the track tomorrow. Please let me know when you have a chance. I'll be running 104 octane.

I think you're ok for 1/4 mile but you should get a Pump ASAP. I took 20+ sucessive dyno pulls to get it to lean out on the stock pump. So one 1/4 mile run every 20 minutes or so should be fine. Someone with more drag racing experience may want to weigh in. BTW the pump is a quick 30 minute install

Thanks for the information. I won't be running that much actually. Speedway is quite crowded. I figure i'll get a run in every hour or so.

You should be fine, but it's not a bad idea to get the pump at your level of modifications. It's just one less thing to worry about if you upgrade your cams

Thanks for the information once again. I don't want to buy cams. I really want to avoid that. The only other performance mods I want are the pump and a high performance catalytic converter. I want to concentrate on cosmetic mods shortly.
