Most of the cop cars used are Crown Vic's or Caprice Classics because of their strong box frames. They are great for setting up road blocks and such. Chase cars don't really apply, that is why most use Camaros or Mustangs for that. They are mainly used for pursuit or pacing, and they would only be used to write tickets or wait till a slower cop got on scene to transport the individual, therefore they don't usually have cages in the back.

There are a few agencies out there that are getting cars commonly associated with street racing to be undercover to cut down on the "import epidemic" that some big cities are facing. I know there are a couple in VA, but they have more cop cars than I could count (Crown Vic, Caprice, Tahoe, Impalla, Malibu, Mustang, Camaro)......it made me sick. Most were unmarked, too. Add this with a state that doesn't allow the use of radar detectors, a 65 MPH speed limit, aircraft that clock you on the interstates, and me in a car that can get up ang go like the Evo can......Yeah, it was scarry. I REALLY wanted cruise control in the car at that point.

In Edison NJ, the cops have a white e36 M3, with Hamann fron spoiler and work done to it. Supposedly it was confiscated from a drug related incident, there are pics of it around somewhere online.

 

In Rahway, NJ the cops have an old Vette Cop Car. I would say a 91 or around there. It's a D.A.R.E. car though so I don't think they use it as a regular pursuit car. Also in Metuchen, Nj they have a 240ZX fastback which is also a D.A.R.E. car as well I believe. Anyway fun too see.

the wrx is pretty slick...

here in CT we have a bunch of undercover cops... from (intrepids, corverttes, cameros, impalas) we also have a old piontiac fiero as a D.A.R.E car in my town.

and I know in New York they are useing alot of Cameros ( I saw entire truck load of them)

we got a ricey impala cop here...it was in the 'ricer shop' parking lot today.

its a really dark blue, and the side had a dark blue/light blue splash decals, and the huge POLICE lettering etc, it was really fun to laugh at...he'll never catch me lmao, nah. but its a change from all the crown vics and caprices, we got lots of impala cops in my area.

the WRX looks 'homo' from the back... wow that sounds bad lmao, but anyways u know wut i mean..just looks to bland/boring..and wut cop cars still do the white/black thing...really lol, if i see a black front/back and white middle cop car i just laugh

 

In Woodbridge NJ, the police just bought three "interceptor" Evos...plans to stop the illegal..he he..illegal..he he..anyways, the night racing down on Industrial Ave...too bad not too many racers go there after an RX7 flipped and made it the worst place to race...they have plans on putting speed bumps all the way down the road...I work for the fire department in fords and we saw the three evos come in...they got custom painted "woodbridge police department" on the side, you gotta stand at an angle and **** to see them...well thats whats up...

the cops where i live suck ***. they have yukons that are dark *** blue with very lightly gold outlined blue letters that say highland park police, with no headlights up top, and just a push bar up front so there is hardly any way you can spot them, cuz like everyone around here drives a freakin suv and they all look the same
