Question Front Bumpers

im a huge fan of the HKS Kansai front end, but how restricted is the airflow to the intercooler as compared to the C-West bumper?

the Kansai seems to have a relatively small opening for the intercooler, where as the C-West has a HUGE opening.

how will either of these front ends effect the cooling of an aftermarket intercooler? say the AVO unit.

reason i posted here is because i saw both kits for the first time on your site.

thanks in advance for feedback!

how are they supposed to know

they don't RD each part and measure the different air flow for each front bumper

look what bumper exposes the FMIC the most and work from there...

While it's true that we don't R&D all parts, we do on most. I'd say that your instinct is right on this issue. The C-West front end does allow for better air flow, which translates into more H/P. I'd go with your gut on this one. Remember, that at speed the air will still find it's way around the bumper and to the intercooler on just about all designs, but we like the C-West kit as it was designed and tested on Japan's toughest road coarses.

Plus the C-West kit is wind-tunnel tested and CFD-designed. C-West all the way - you get what you pay for...

thanks for the response!

i notice on the EVO 8 front end from C-West there are canards for additional downforce, are there any canards available for the 7's bumper? i like the look of the 7 considerably more than the 8's.
