Richard
I'll try to see if I have some time to pull some stuff apart this week to get you that measurement. Thanks again.

Abner, that's fantastic!! Thank you!! I believe Richard wants an outer diameter of the turbo inlet. I guess an inner diameter measurement wouldn't hurt either. Also Richard how will the nozzle holder firmly attach to the turbo?

Just a warning guys..

If you spray water injection before the turbo, it will damage the turbo blades.. At 50,000 rpm's +, the little water droplets are like mini-cannon *****.

I just tried to find the article, where a guy did this, & he had pictures of the turbo impellers after a few weeks, & they were chewed!

This is true, I have also seen pictures of what pre-compressor injection can do. The difference in the approach that Richard from Aquamist is doing is an adapter/holder that will position the injection nozzle right at the center of the wheel to allow the water mixture to enter towards the center instead of the outer portion of the blades. I'm at work so I'll find a link for some pictures when I get home. The amount/rate that needs to be injected, still needs to be determined. As soon as I get the adapter/holder, I'll try experimenting. There is a link somwhere that NASA has actually tried it already with success on I believe jet turbines.

Yeah it's kinda scary to think you might be spinning your turbo with that sort of damage
