Changing the setting of my controller after car is tuned

I am very happy with how my car runs right now but I also wish to know if I could lowered my starting spraying point a few PSI so that I can spray sooner.

My car was tuned by Al and he adjusted the air/ fuel ratios to the setting that I have right now.

I wish to know if it is safe to lower the starting point on my SMC controller. This shouldn't affect the reliability of my engine correct?

Just in case you have doubts, the car was running perfectly fine before the tunning at a much lower starting point compared to now. If any I will be running richer correct?

I was thinking about doing the same, but I wanted to lower the max spray setting so that there would be more methanol throughout the duration of the spray. More meth means higher octane, which means boost can be turned up a bit more as long as there's no knock.

The A/R will be richer so it's possible to take out fuel with a device like an S-AFC. The issue of taking out fuel and using more methanol/alcohol is that if the pump/controller fails, the motor will most likely not survive the ordeal.

Its NO problem to lower the start point

it will retard your power a bit - but its sure a saftey measure

You can lower it till you start getting misfires from overly rich condition

The day I got my SMC kit install the starting point it was around 14psi and it was noticeable faster than before the alcohol install despite being over rich.

Today I lowered the starting point to 10PSI, car pulls hard and absolutely no signs of malfunction of any kind.

I am going to connect the G-tech and do some test from a roll then I will compare them.

My grildfriend and I almost swear that it feel a bit faster but we will see.
