Methanol Safe Pump
Methanol Safe Pump
I recently decided to do a methanol injection system with 4 injectors.
I've got all the necessary stuff except for a fuel pump.
Aeromotive doesn't make "alcohol compatible" pumps as per their brochure, any recommendations as to where i can find one?
Many Thanks!

Thanks Richard I'll check it out.
I did come across these, thouigh i don't know how good they are:
Mallory Comp Pump Series 140 Electric Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pump, Electric, Pro Comp 140 Series, External, Universal, Alcohol/ Methanol
Mallory Comp Pump Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pump, Electric, Comp, External, Gas/ Alcohol/ Methanol, 160 gph, -8 AN Female Threads
Holley Black Electric Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pump, Electric, Rotor/ Vane, Black, External, Gas/ Alcohol, Universal, Aluminum/ Polished
Edelbrock Electric Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pump, Electric, External, In-Line, Universal, Aluminum, -12AN Inlet/ OutletBlack Anodized

They all look very good. Ensure picking the one that can run at high pressure - up to 100-150psi since most of the progressive alcohol controllers are pump speed controlled.

Looks like I'll be going with the:

How are you metering the flow? now that you have 90psi pressure at hand.

Hi Richard!
Sorry but you're asking the wrong question to the wrong person, i don't know or understand what u mean by that. I just get what shop recommended taht i get, and since Edelbrock is the best one out there (I'm guessing) i went with it....

I thought you are trying to make a alky injection system. I was curious to know how you go about from this point on.
The Pump is perfect for the job. Looks good and it runs methanol.

Why are people so worried about using injection products still? The problems we had with it 5+ years ago are no more. It's a very safe route to go if you feel the need to. I felt the need, so I went that route. The kits now even have failsafes built in to where if the pressure of the methanol drops below a certain PSI than your boost instantly drops as well. I don't see the problem.
I think you missed the point. He is trying to use methanol injection via fuel injectors and meth safe fuel pump. This has nothing to do with shurflo based pump, flow sensors.
Although I have a different car, I just did a four injector direct port injection setup and thought you might want to see the pics. It also has a fail safe so when the injectors don't see pressure, or if the tank low level sensor triggers, it deactivates the boost controller, so boost goes back to stock.

I hope so too
