Keeping methanol suspended in water/meth mixes

Righto,

I've got a Meth/water setup. I am running 50/50 at the moment but notice that the water and methanol are separating in the injection tank.
Does anyone use a wetting agent to keep the two homogenous ie detergent/surfactant? Suggestions are welcome!
Does anyone have the same problem?
Before anyone says run 100% methanol, I don't want this setup, I am after 50/50.
Looking forward to some good advice here.

cheers

Matt

methanol and water are miscible in any proportion.....

are you sure you got pure i.e >98% methanol?

Water and methanol mix together about as well as water and water mix. If your injecting something into your engine that isn't soluble in water than I would find out what wrong

Yes that is correct it does mix. The methanol I bought was contaminated by the chemical blending company. I am still waiting for them to sort this out as it has caused a problem in my kit. I am now running ELF methanol and it mixes beautifully with water.

I usually buy the Yellow Heet bottles at 97c for 12 oz, I filter it though. It is at least 98%

The CAS# for methanol is 67-56-1

Sorry to hear you got some bad liquid, hope you get it cleaned

How frequently do you need to refill the meth tank?

So, for instance... what if you run out of alky, and go into boost. Will the ECU pull timing for saftey?

Next question is, has alky been tested over a long period of time? what are the effects on engines? I will be driving my EVO daily, I like to spool the turbo frequently. its the injection triggered by a certain amount of boost? I am having a hard time understanding how the systems work. I understand what meth/alky does @ combustion. Can someone elaborate?

Depending on your tune and amount of spraying - ecu will always eventually pull timing, but will it do so in time? So using knock to pull timing is not safe enough, timing needs to be pulled when nozzle input FLOW is lost, NOT PRESSURE. I had to capitalize for other reasons but some kind of dependable flow monitoring device is required to have a reliable safe mode whether using WG, timing, or both for the rescue

Turbo buicks using since classic rock

If your not leaking the methanol into the crankcase and destroying the oil and eventually bottom end, your tuning and system is in line and maintained, and the PCCV system traps passing oil then I would say you will add about 50% life to a hard driven engine

There shouldn't be any form of layers in your tank, if so then your not adding 98-99% meth.
