ultimate auqamist system

I just recieved my HFS5 system and I am very impressed with the quality. If anyone wants to sell theirs PM me I am looking for another kit. My two cars are fighting over who gets to use the one I have.

The only obvious downside to this kit is the pump. While most seem to be having reasonably good results with surflow pumps my track record with them sucks. They are just not up to the tast of being reliable when using 100% meth. This kit would be awesome if it was equiped with the auqamist pump for increased reliabilty. The problem is as we all know is the flow of the race pump is only 600cc and that is with a booster pump. A booster pump is a pump that feeds the auqamist pump. Problem is there is no booster pump that is 100% meth rated. so we are back to square one with needing more flow from an auqamist pump when using 100% meth.

So I got this idea tonight. Why not force feed the pump with boost pressure? All you need to do is have a tank that is sealed and will hold 100psi reliably. Then all you do is run a boost source to the tank with a one way check valve. This way the pump would always be primed with the fluid pressure equal to the boost pressure you are running. Should increase the flow rating of the auqamist pump quite nicely and with bulletproof reliabilty.

Has anyone done this? And how much additional flow would it be good for?

The kit is $895.00. If your budget doesn;t allow it now, go for the HFS-1, currently offered as a Group buy. You will save $$$ if you buy it now and perhaps upgrade it to the HFS-5 later.

The GB runs out at the end of this week.

I have gone some way answering your question on the thread below regarding th e shurflo pump reliability record. The first part.

Yes, pressurising tank is a great way to go about things, making a 30psi vessel is very possible. You have in the past made some special systems for tractor pulling market, they run about 65 psi. We need to use a pressurised tank capbaple of withstanding 80psi.
