The v3 is borrowing some of the advanced features of the HFS4-v1 except the mps/idc ratio capability.

Additional features of the v3:
- Three flow tables to allow better resolution on flow monitoring
- Auto sensing different types of idc signals (no more solder links)
- additional meth/water flow outputs for third party systems

Yes, it doesn't right from the beginning. The HFS3-v3 just playing catch-up. It may be easier for those who are not confident on soldering. There are no performance advancement, just simpler.
