General meth questions.

What are the benefits of running a mix? Why not run pure meth all the time?

Is pure meth more corrosive on any parts in the system?

How quickly does it evaporate from the tanks?

How much would i have to worry about vapor? Even if its vented outside the car?

I want a set it and forget it system.. semi-large tanks.. something i dont have to worry about every day.

Do a search there are several threads that go for pages on the debate of different mixtures...lots of different opinions, I personally like 50-75% but others swear by 100%...its really up to you...evaporation really takes a long time if the container is sealed well like the stock washer tank or any of the tanks the kits come with....the biggest issue would be with 100% where it absorbs water and because less pure...

100% water has the most heat dissipating ability.
100% methanol has the most octane boosting capability.
Windshield water is essentially 49% alcohol/49% water/2% dye.

Most power= 100% Methanol. Methanol also has a steam-cleaning effect, getting rid of any left over carbon deposits. Those who've ran methanol and have pulled their heads, their heads come out looking SPOTLESS -just an added benefit.

2% dye in the windshield water is pretty much just garbage you're injecting into the motor.

I've personally ran 100% methanol on my Eclipse with my DIY kit for the past 4 years on a STOCK motor minus cams/head studs/gasket with an m15 nozzle at 28-30psi at a safe a/f and timing and have had ZERO issues washing the cylinder out or any other negative effects.

100% meth is also corrosive to aluminum, and some rubbers, etc.
