I have the Stage 2 Coolingmist kit.

I put everything together right according to the documentation and everything powers up. The only issue I see I'm having is the pump. I can't seem to power it up. I tried connecting a 12v source to it in order to make sure the pump turns on and all it does is sit there, no sound, no sucking. How do I go about testing that everything works? I didn't hook up the controller nor have the inject connected for the test. Would this matter? Please help as I have yet to use the system and I'm hoping nothing is wrong

 

Take the pump out of the box and hook the red wire to your car battery. Hook the black wire to the battery ground. When you do that the pump will vibrate/turn on.

I have never seen a shurflo pump that doesn't work. All pumps are tested before they leave shurflo facility.

Thats for testing the pump.

My vari-cool progressive controller keeps blinking green and never goes solid. Is there a reason it would do this?
If your controller is older it will only blink. If its newer it will go solid when it injects. If your boost port is Silver it will just blink, if its brass colored it will go solid.

Oh!!! My boost port is silver! It blinks slowly for 2s upon startup and then continues to blink fast for as long as it is on. I guess that's why there is a LED for the Status Monitor and Clog Detector. So at least we can see when fluid flows or clogs that way. Is it supposed to light up when it injects and flash when there is a clog? Guess we pinpointed the problem. I will have to check those electrical connections to the LEDs as they obviously are not turning on at the right time.
