ATM I have n AEM EMS sitting in my room to be installed and im in the market for a meth kit.. ive narrowed it down to the SMC kit, or the new AEM kit. Althou i havent seen that many results from searching about the AEM kit.. it seems to be good stuff.. And since its n aem product it might work with my AEM EMS better than the SMC kit.

Heres the think, I plan on running 100% meth, and plan on having the meth injection set relativly high (spray @ about 10psi depending on what my tuner says) this way the meth isnt spraying all the time while i daily drive the car. But I just read this on the nolimitmotorsports website abou tthe AEM kit, which is the basis of this thread. "Alcohol Compatible (up to 50% in solution with water)" When they say Alchohol arent they basically saying meth? And if I plan on running 100% meth will the AEM kit not work properly or something?

Which of the two in my situation would you choose?

bmp.. price for aem kits only like 380, and smc would run me about 450!

i really havent researched the aquamist.. right now im focusing on SMC and AEM.. but i will probably be purchasing a slightly used SMC kit

i know the guy with the kit personally, and has only had it on his car about a month, and hes got to sell the car due to moving

 

If you want to get the most out of you meth kit- running 100% meth is the best thing to do.

SMC pumps can't handle 100%- only 50%
And the failsafe is crap! Oh wait what failsafe

 

majority of my friends who run SMC kit, run it 100% without a problem, for a year or more.. as for failsafe, im going to maybe wire the SMC into my AEM EMS and have some sort of failsafe on there.

Im also going to be running an m15 nozzle with it

plus hes giving it to me for only about 275, i cant go wrong on the price!

 

the flojet pump on the smc is methanol resistant....whats killing them is....they are not designed to pump at high pressure....ie methanol injection

 

AMS, and buschur run SMC kits @ 100% meth dont they? it must work..

 

yes they work......but for how long.....

if you get the used kit, make sure you send it back to smc for a checkup before install. good luck

 

idk id ask buschur or ams but i wont get an imediate response lol.

if i get the kit used its been 1 month, and hes only raced the car a total of possibly 10-15 times..
