For as much effort as it takes to type "Search", you could have been MORE useful and include the link to the specific topic.

Yet, you've decided to waste everyones mili-seconds reading your useless word of "advice".

Alcohol / Water / Methanol is essentially a knock suppressant. Injecting it into the air before combustion cools the air down (which was heated in the turbo), and raises the effective octane rating of the fuel you are using. So you can run closer to a race-gas tune & boost levels while using pump gas.

The main function of these systems is to suppress detonation caused by high temperature and pressure developed within the combustion chamber when the effective compression ratio has been taken beyond the auto-ignition point by either a turbo or a supercharger. Water, with its high latent heat content, is extremely effective for controlling not only the onset of detonation but also the production of oxides of nitrogen in the modern leanburn engines.

lets you run more boost and increase your timing through your powerband too. especially for cars that hate increased timing like mine. I can only run like 6-7 degress whereas with the meth i can run close to 11...............its a good mod trust me

just get a water injection kit to cool. Meth is dangerous stuff, much like Nitrious systems. Unless you look into every details of your car daily your asking for problems. methonal is corrosive to aluminum.

what!!!! yes meth is some dangerous stuff but with a good tuner and mechanic you are gravy. everyone in my area has them installed and we installed and tuned ourselves. runs great and most of them are daily drivers.

You just gotta be smart is all........

good installation(solder wires, shrink wrap), solenoid valve and a properly set up failsafe - meth is very safe and fun

gasoline is dangerous stuff to. What's the point? And the corrosiveness of meth on aluminum has been covered ad naseum. It's a non issue.

Oh, and you're still spelling methanol wrong.

only point i agree with lemmonhead is that if your are asking the basic question as posted you are not ready for meth but with some time you will likely be going to AA meetings with the rest of us...
