Yes, the HFS-1 and HFS-5 use a high-speed valve to control the flow.

 

Hi guz_man, both the aquamist HFS systems, like mrMTB mentioned, are valved.

HFS-1: does not need to react fast because it is a predictable on/off injection - uses a MSV, medium speed vlave

HFS-5: because of the injector duty mirroring operation - uses a high speed valve that is capable of pulsing at 250 times a second to keep up with the positive and negative transients seen in normal driving.

Here is a video of it in action - on the left. The system on the right is a valveless/checkvalve system - there will be injectant jetting/dribbling out will the line pressure is reduced to the cracking pressure of the checkvalve.

Yea I think one of the biggest issues with kits is poor installs and then it quickly gets blamed on the kit...people don't always understand the importance of wiring up kits properly...

 

its critical to do it once, do it right.

Great video! Makes me wonder how my Snow kit is performing when it shuts off... Does it leak like that... Hmmm...
