Before everyone getting all confused. Regardless of what version DDS3 you have. you still need the Jamie cable.

Jamie cable comes equipped with the house keeping components to ensure the failsafe is default to altmap (safe mode) when you pull off the DDS3 link accidentally.

The cable also contains a pre-cramped pin that match the ECU socket. Withput this, you wil not be able to make a proper connect to the Alt-map channel of the ECU.

The difference between DDS3 v8 and v9 is on the output of pin12. The v9 can be programmed by soldering a pad underneath the circuit board instead of putting a wire link between pin9 and pin11. The V9's output is +5V (not as important in this case as Jamie's cable has the already is volatge clamp inbuilt)

I will make a proper drawing and post it here as soon as Jamie (jackof trades) and I have agreed everything is correct and accurate.

I look forward to seeing a wiring diagram for how to wire this up with a v9 board. I am still unsure exactly how this 5v output works.

Will you still use a voltage clamp if the DDS3 already outputs 5v? I think the more simple the wiring the better.
