Calibrating TTP Zeitronix failsafe

For those who are using the ZAVT-1 failsafe, how are you setting the trigger parameters for the failsafe? I'm having a very difficult time finding a setting that doesn't false trigger when I transition from low TPS to high TPS at mid to high RPM, when the boost spools very quickly and the car is momentarily lean during spool-up. For example, if you are driving at part throttle 5000 rpm and your AFR is around 13 to 14.x, and then you go WOT, then the boost will rise and the AFR will come down, but there will be a brief transition period where the boost is up over 20 psi and the AFRs are at least in the high 12s if not the 13s. It's very a very quick transition as the car adds fuel and gets down to the usual 11.x range, but enough to trigger the failsafe. It seems that to avoid this that I need to set the trigger at such a high (lean) AFR and high boost level, that it compromises the effectiveness of the failsafe.

How are others setting this up?

Thanks.

What fuel are you using? Meth? Racefuel or pump?

my simple warning set 900c egt

complex set to >18 psi, >3500, >12.5

running 3076r 91oct + meth at 30 psi

I had the same problem with flase trigger when I had set to close to the optimum tune for my car. I backed off a bit on everything and now it works like a champ. I used the relay to cut power to my GM boost control. Works great. Shut off meth and it drops back to 12 psi and triggers the check engine light. Saved my motor twice now.

I have mine set w/ complex: boost => 24psi + 13.1 a/f. I have my tune lean so i need the a/f up there.

Thanks. I'll keep fooling around with it. I have mine hooked to cut boost by interrupting the wire to my EBC's solenoid. It does work perfectly with that arrangement.
