What makes ur kit better?
So I'm starting to undertsand water injection but when I try to figure which kit is good for me I get lost. So I was thikning about AEM and then buy a few failsafes as add ons. But you have Snow Performance which I'm waiting for my good buddy Dan to check in. I see everyone is sweating Aquamist but they have 2 kits and I still have no idea why they are better.....Richard I know ur going to be chiming in. SMC and Coolingmist.......not interested in them.
So why am I interesting in AEM......
Well I know it has a progressive pump
I know it is manifold pressure to operate the pump controller
The low level warning is included
So all I would need to do is add 2 failsafes which would be flow moniter and boost solonoid to reduce my boost level.
The other reason why I want to go with AEM I plan on running the New FP Red turbo which for me means I can still run under 20 psi just commuting to and from work and the gym. When I go to the track I can turn the boost up to 35+psi hopefully with my mods and meth I can reach my goal of 500whp. But the way I see it I drive like a old woman when crusing around town you can acutally catch me on the highway doing 60-65mph.
But if Dan or Richard can convince me why there kit is better then AEM for the $ then I will concider it.
SO SELL ME ON UR PRODUCT.

with Aquamist, you get the flow sensor and low level included in the package... the Aquamist kits are famous because of their compability with Tephra's patch, which can also serve as a failsafe (im not sure if other kits can)...
-the Tephra v5 is one of the reasons why i got the HFS-1 from Aquamist, it has some really cool features and there is plenty of ppl involved ready to help you accomplish this (including Richard [Aquamist], Tephra [Patch], and Jackoftrades [ECU harness])

Aquamist only makes a single stage (HFS-1) or a Fuel IDC tracking (HFs-5) system.
We just have been able to design a PPS (progressive pump speed) system to flow consistently. We have tried for many years. Apart from the electronic controller, only aquamist manfactures 90% of their mechanical components, to maintain R&D edge and quality.

For example, this tank bulkhead fitting is unique to Aquamist, it may be a simple item but effective.

Do you think I would really need the gauge? Sorry I haven't had a chance to really put any input in this thread I've been a bit busy with work
The gauge is part of the system. it won't work without it.
With the amount of boost you intend to run, it is always nice to keep an eye on the flow as well as the failsafe working in the background.

The nice thing about the aquamist kits is that they come with everything you need, except for a tank.
They already have the best failsafe on the market, a low level sensor, a gauge that shows you everything and lets you turn the kit on and off with a single button. The kits can be triggered by any 0-5v source (boost, etc...) or they can be triggered by Injector Duty Cycle.
They can also interface with the stock ECU utilizing Tephra's ECU patch. This will enable you to have two maps on your ECU. One map for 20psi without meth, and one map for higher boost with meth. All you will need to do to switch maps is hit the button on the aquamist guage to turn the kit on/off. This will turn the kit on and switch maps at the same time.
If there is any kind of problem while the kit is turned on, the flow sensor will notice a lack of flow, and it will switch the ECU back to the safe 20psi map. This means even if something goes wrong while you are in the middle of a pull, you will be ok because the ECU will switch back to the safe map.
Are you able to tune the stock ECU yourself? If not who will tune it?

I'm not sure if junior is familiar with Tephra's patch, you may want to ask him. Setting the system up for the patch requires slightly different wiring then what they may have done in the past so best to call to be sure.
You may even want to contact Big Al as I think he may be more familiar with Tephra's patch and the wiring that is needed, although I can't say for sure if he knows about it.
