I checked the mac valve setup a few times so I know it works. I just had Dudical pm me back stating that he heard of the V8 DDS3 having some bugs. What should pin #6 read when the gauge is on and vice versa?

Okay so I'm reading 5 volts (pin6)on my meter regardless of condition. With the gauge on or off I still read 5 volts. I measured across pin 2 and pin 6 to get this reading. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm almost positive I did this but I'll double check that too. Any and all help is appreciated. So which problem do you think this will resolve? The mac valve?

The problem is in the gauge. Pin#6 should read 0.6V at the "off" position. This problem can only be caused by a broken component inside the gauge. We have never has this component failed once.

Solution: put a short between the two pins (with copper track) until I send you a replacement BAS16 diode.

You can also send the gauge back to me to repair, no charge.

I'll have to get the gauge back out of the car. Hopefully I can do this. I'm pretty good at soldering wires, just never soldered components onto a board. I'll give it my best shot and if I fail I'll just send it to you. Thanks again Richard.
