If you are willing to do some parts sourcing yourself, you can have a good and reliable system for under $400. With failsafe and dash gauge.

is the 60psi shurflo sufficient enough for WI...I thought most kits use a 150 psi pump

The above diagram shows a more complete setup. All shurflo pump has more or less the same internals, the demand switch on the front of the pump determine the operating pressure.

The spring inside the demand switch is changeable, from 30psi-150psi. If you are running methamnol, ensure you purchase a pump with EPDM seals. (quite common).

This $400 system can be triggered by IDC, Mass airflow sensor (0-5v), MAP sensor, throttle angle sensor etc. ASnything that has 0-5V output.

yeap^ i was reading another thread where some guy got a HIGH quote to get this installed... ...but it wasnt as complicated as i thought, all the wires are colored to their matching station on the DDS box, and with the diagrams posted it makes it even easier...

The problem with failsafes are they fail more often than the system itself. You may want to look at a basic kit with a map switching tune.

My post wasn't meant to say failsafes are junk but rather to say many kits have had problems with the failsafe failing making the kit dysfunctional.

You don't really need a ton of mechanical failsafes if you have gauges and auto map switching.

I have two partially completed alcohol/methanol kits (Engine Runup and Devil's Own) that I can sell you at a really cheap price. I've decided to go a different route. If you're interested, just let me know.
