More Problems with my HFS-5
Hahaha lol!!! That's funny. I had a neighbor ask me the same thing. Between wiring gauges, failsafes, stereo equipment, widebands, turbo timers, replacing vacuum/boost tubing, plus all the other performance mods.....it seems like I live in my parking lot. That's another problem.......no garage.

I installed my cams yesterday in front of the house, postman just shook his head

My roomies dont get why Ill spend a whole weekend rebuilding my motor instead of going out
they just know its fun to ride in my car.

Haha....that's great. See that's where I stop. I don't have the ***** to open up the motor or even remove the valve cover. Everytime I try to work on something it turns into a can of worms. Since it's my daily driver I can't afford that kind of downtime if something goes wrong....

I held my breath when I cranked her up. "blup blup blup" Oh nice, "check engine light" Turned out to be the maf sensor and TPS...i had the key on temporarily to allow power steering for wheel well access and had both sensor disconnected.
Cam install was not hard. 2 parts that are issues...getting valve cover off...took me about 45mins. 70k on the motor, the cover was well sealed lol The other issue/potential issue is breaking/and torquing the cam gear bolt...gotta be careful. Other than that...it's a breeze.
Richard I just received the parts the other day. I actually have the original parts you sent me all boxed up and ready to ship back to you. As for Dudical, I'm just waiting on a reply from him to set up a time to go to his house and finish this install. I'll be sure to update this thread whether the outcome is good or bad.....haha. I have hope this time though because I won't be the one touching the wires.
We are planning to meet this weekend.
Import Junky, I would ask that you don't ship back the old parts just yet, If you could bring any aquamist stuff you have when we meet up. I doubt we will need it, but I would rather have it in case.

Hopefully we wont need any help but if we did I will email you.
Well, I feel like an *** for not posting sooner. I just have so much going on. My whole house is basically being remodeled and I have a baby on the way.
So anyways, I want to give a BIG THANKS to Dudical26. He was great to work with and very knowledgable. He definately has a very systematic approach to troubleshooting. I can't tell you how happy I was to finally figure out the problem. I feel like such an idiot after seeing such a simple fault. Obviously my biggest mistake was the lack of an Inline Fuse on the power supply. Atleast now I know this system really well. I should have much better luck troubleshooting in the future if I have any problems.
As for Richard L, I can't thank you enough. For a Vendor to help a guy that bought used parts from another member is just unheard of. I still can't believe the time and effort you put in as well not including the the parts you sent me several times. By the way, I still have to send you my other Gauge and DDS3. I kept to just in case Dudical26 needed it.
I haven't done anything with the MAC Valve wiring yet. I'm working on modifying my ROM with the MAP Sensor mod and the Ecu controlled boost mod. Obviously I'll be using the MAC Valve for boost control which will be connected via the stock boost control solenoid connector. Thanks again for everyone that helped including Evan from VividRacing. Hopefully I'll have some results with this setup soon.
