I don't understand how our ecu flashes fast enough so when a error happens
It can activate a new map! When ecuflash flashes it's slow as hell!

I know this is an old post but I figured I would answer it anyway. When running tephra 7 using alternate maps the ecu does not flash to the new map when the error is detected. It already has the boost, fuel and timing maps loaded into the ecu and when an error is detected it switches from the meth maps to the non-meth maps. It happens almost instantaneously. Not that damage cannot happen but it is minimized if it does.
