map switching wiring diagram for JDM EVO7

Hey guys I have been searching the forum for the wiring diagram to setup the map switching in conjunction with the aquamist DDS3 failsafe system for the HFS5. I have found info for the evo 8 and 9 ecus but nothing for the evo 7. Here is a link for the JDM evo7 ecu pinout .http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=196839. I want to set up a pump gas map and a meth map and have it switch to pump if there is some kind of failure. Any help would be appreciated

Before wiring, check the ECU's pin pattern against this drawing.

Thanks Ricard but how do I wire in the MAC valve to switch the boost back to WGA pressure?

With tephra alt-map, you don't need the MAC valve, remove the MBC and reinstate the factory BCV. Let the ECU controller your boost.

Are you saying it cant work at all with the manual boost controller?

The ECU can work with manual boost controller but it will have some weird effects. Basically, the ECU can not lower the boost below the MBC setting, for obvious reasons.

Why do you need MBC anyway with tephra patch. It just makes things more complicated.

I believe that if using the mac valve and mbc you will cut from the preset pressure of the mbc to the preset pressure of the mac valve. Jeff at Howerton Engineering offers the mac and knows a ton about WMI and Aquamist products.

Using ecu controlled boost is a great alternative if you are set up for it. Using the stock bcs is good for stock boost levels. Going for high boost it seems that an aftermarket bcs like the gm 3 port or grimspeed 3 port.

I am still using my greddy ebc for boost control/fail safe and love it.

From what I understand the aquamist fail-safe uses the mac valve to revert to wastegate pressure. I thought I could use this in conjunction with the map switching. Eg. if there is a failure the Mac valve would switch to wastegate pressure while the tepra mods would switch to the low boost , less aggressive map. Only thing the mac valve uses a 12volt switch while the tephra need a 5v. Am i correct? I am a little confused

After some more reading I totally understand what you were saying Richard. I now realise that there is boost control for both Alt and Main maps so I can have a safe boost pressure for the pump Main map and a Higher boost pressure for the Alt Map (Meth ). Thanks guys . Just need to get a GM 3-port now
