If anyone is interested I got a line on some carbon fiber hoods for $395 a pop Includes shipping to so cal (one location for shipping so we would all have to pick them up from one place.) Need 5 orders (4 and me)

I heard about a guy making CF hoods and checked his one out on ebay (that is where I got the pick) he wants 380 for the hood plus 160 for shipping on ebay. But if we get 5 he will lower it to 320 + 375 for shipping all 5 to one location (hence the reason for it needing to be in socal unless you want to pay shipping from so cal to you on top of that). So 320*5 = 1600+375 = 1975/5 = 395 per hood. Here is his desciption of the hood (link to ebay)

Yep $395 to be exact. Flat, period, out the door, total. I think that clears that up. I assume for that price people might be willing to pick it up in one location. Maybe we can find a shop to install them all for a discount and all roll and get them installed together =).

Just a thought. I do need 4 orders to do this though (5 total but I am in for 1 so ...)

also...will i need hood pins or anything?

 

This is from the maker:

I assume you could add hood pins but they dont appear to be needed. I will contact the vedor about this. (I am only coordinating this I have no relation to nor am I gaining anything from the sale except reduced price, same price everyone is paying, and saving on shipping). I will let you know what he says. He says the maker is C-Wings.

For mounting this is what he says: "Stock fitment, all holes are predrilled,even the wiper holes and hood prop, and latch location is stock."

Note C-Wings not C-West and I agree with you. Do research and share. I will be doing the same. If you want the email address to the company I am gonna get them through is on this thread.

 

LaNceRiTiZ - This is the same hood as importfan i just looked (atleast it is the same maker). They want 399 for it plus shipping this would be 395 shipped to so cal and you would have to pick it up from a central meeting point.


Hood pins are recommended they say.

unfortunatly shipping takes 2 weeks (from the east coast) Besides that get 3 other people to buy one then we have 5 or just buy one from the guy direct (but you are gonna pay throught the *** for shipping).
