im hoping to buy an 05 soon. which dealership in san diego did you go to and how was the experience. ball mitsubishi is 2 miles from my house let me know what you think about there operation thanx

 

I purchased my 03 two years ago from Ball Mitsu and the experience wasn't too bad. Gio was the sales person I'd dealt with. He's a good guy straight forward and to the point. Because the Evo was just released I really didn't have much power for negotiation. Ball Mitsu just recieved their 1st shipment of Evos that day and some guy who purchased Rally Red and myself were the 1st two Evo owners in South San Diego. Although I wasn't able to negotiate the sticker price any lower, I was fortunate enough to not pay "mark up".

The deal was going fairly well until I met up w/the finance associate (what a Jerk!). 1st of all he told me that there was a $500 mark up....I told him that Gio agreed that I pay sticker price and threatend to leave and take my business elsewhere......done, sticker price. finally when we negotiated the value of my trade in, the f*&^@n finance guy wrote a value on the contract that was $500 less than what was negotiated. At that point I just walked away and told him how "shadey his sales tactics where". As I was leaving the "sales manager" approached me and asked me what was wrong.....told him the story and the Apex Evo was finally sold, for sticker price.

How do you like Ball Mitsu for service? I haven't been impressed with El Cajon, and Poway is a bit far for me.

They darn near kiss your a**. I'll miss them when I move to Az. I may just trailer the car back to get major service done. I like em that much and no I don't need to, I can wrench this pig myself.
