Dude, it has nothing to do with corporate greed, Mitsu's factory sticker says plain as day what the MSRP is. If the dealer thinks they can get 50k for it, fine. Obviously none of you will pay 50k, but maybe someone will, and that will be a nice bonus to the salesperson. If no one pays 50k, the price will come down.

It's so strange seeing americans outraged by capitalism

$51K? Hmm. I'd have a hard decision at that price - Z06 or M3? The Evo 8 is not worth anywhere near that, and I certainly wouldn't buy any other car from them, either. Good business practice

All it is is captialism at its finest. As was previously said, no one HERE would buy it, but someone will. The dealers are simpling trying to find the dumbest people out there. It is good business from a certain point of view....but not from the buyers point of view

So what? They are not going to get that much for the car, nor do they expect to.

Well.....the salesman always say "hey, supply and demand man"......i'm thinking "Hey, you graduated high school!" What demand? Yeah, people flocking over to LOOK at it. But who is actually buying it. The salesman at tustin said...but it's only been out since monday. I told him they should have all beem sold by now. If there was no markup, that would have been the case.

There's more to supply and demand than that.

Its called testing the market.. Its possible that this one car was marked up so they can keep it on the dealer floor knowing it would be unlikely to sell, though it would be easier to put a 'SOLD' tag on it.. but people will oogle, but sort of like a woman who is engaged.. She's not married YET, so you still have a chance with the right moves.. Same sorta thing..
