RallyCross @ Altamont (in Tracy) November 6, 2005!

We're proud to announce our inaugural mixed dirt and tarmac and RallyCross at Altamont Raceway & Arena on November 6, 2005. By popular demand (both from competitors and from ourselves!), Altamont provides us with a location closer to the Bay Area, bringing good times in the dirt closer to the masses. If you've been wondering what RallyCross is all about, come check it out! Tell your friends! Register now!

We'll be working hard to get the word out to everyone we can. Making Altamont a success will help us secure more dates in 2006 - for RallyCross action closer to the Bay Area!

The Altamont RallyCross entry fees are $35 for SCCA members, $40 for non-members (4 runs, times combined for a total time). This is a non-points event.

Anybody showing up for this? I'm the only Evo out there, and I'm making the Scoobys look good
Come out, beat some Scoobies, show them what our cars can do.

Looks like fun! How would a lowered evo fair on that track? If it's too much for a lowered car I would still come and show some evo support.

If you're only lowered by an inch or so, you should be fine. But much more than that, you may run into issues tearing the front diffuser off.

Come out anyway, it sucks being the only Evo around.

You'll be fine.
Drive at your own pace, take it easy around serious ruts, and your car will be without a scratch.
I have been to 6 events. Once with my brand new SVT Focus (years ago), and more recently with the Evo. The only thing that's ever happened to me has been tearing my front diffuser and a fender liner off by running too fast into a deep mud rut (track was really wet from the winter rain). Both are cheap plastic parts, and easy to replace. No problems since.

Thanks to all the Evos that came out yesterday, it was great to see other Evos at the RallyX (hopefully kicking some STI butt).
Hope everyone had a great time and would come out again.
Take care and stay tuned for next year's events.
