San Rafael Mitsu quoted me.
I got a quote from SRM for 1k under MSRP n/i taxes. Including taxes it's somewhere around $33,xxx. Is this a good price or should I keep looking? Advanced thanks.
I'm assuming your getting a IX with no SSL. If thats the price they gave you...keep looking. I got my IX w/SSL package for barely 33K...after all was said and done and out the door, just about 36K.

Awesome e-articles out there on what to look out for and such. Make sure when it's time for the contract that you know what ur paying for and what NOT to pay for (rust-proofing,advertising,carpet shampooing,etc). Don't let the dealers pressure you into a sale by them telling you it might be gone soon...and don't settle for anything but what YOU want. Took me a while to find a dealer that would negotiate with me the way I wanted.

I'll study diligently.
Absolutely not...!
There's an assload of unmentioned fees and charges that will pop up at the last minute ONLY on the contract! Make sure you read...then re-read that contract over. Be sure to ask em what every charge is (if it doesn't feel/sound right).
There will be a few charges that are beyond the dealers control though; destination charge, tax/title/license (my understanding from license fee is that it can be avoided if you have them keep the same number as the temp tags given to you that night).
I remember they tried charging me like $500 for a "loyalty fee". I asked WTF that was and he explained that with it, I can just bring the car in ANY time for an oil change, this n that, rotations, etc and that he couldn't drop it. Needless to say...I told the guy I do my own damn oil changes/rotations, and can kick my own tires and was gonna walk out if they didn't drop it. He agreed...but the next day when my loan officer was faxing them the final paperwork..she called me to ask WTF the "loyalty fee" was....so I called the dealer and asked them why the hell they were trying to go back on there word...so they took it off the contract.
MAKE SURE IT'S ON CONTRACT!

Here's an interesting quote/section regarding Mitsu dealerships;
Mitsubishi Dealers; Mitsubishi has insanely high fees. Their dealers charge you for holdback and floor plan assistance, double collecting. It's even itemized on their invoices. This is unfair, and unacceptable. Any dealer who pulls this on you does not get your money.
