In the SST section of this forum. Look for the "All about SST fluid" thread.

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The world is coming to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In all honesty tho, dealership prices are ~$600-700, not $1200
Do it yourself for $300-400

Everything is more expensive in Canada

I was quoted $1200 for 30k mile service and SST flush and new filter. Just the SST flush and filter was ~600 from dealer.

Does than only apply to imported goods? Service is service no?
Does that mean that whole "high average income" is nonsense, since everything costs twice as much

EDIT: Wait 30k service is considerable more work than just a SST flush. I meant just the SST service is $600-700 from the dealership, which I see you wrote....note to sell read whole sentence
For a dealership, 30k Service at $1500 is about right. My buddy had his Inspection 2 done (BMW equivalent), $3500 He ended up going to a private BMW certified mechanic, still was $2500, crazy.

Or you could do some actual research, get better fluid, and save a ton of money.

Start here...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mi...sst-fluid.html (which was mentioned in post #2 above).

There are similar threads on other forums - including non-Evo ones. Mitsubishi owners aren't the only ones getting financially reamed for twin-clutch fluid!

Unfortunately, I am unable to post what I know, on this site. I am waiting on a chemical and particulate analysis from a new fluid and filter combination, at the moment. But I can tell you that the information that you seek can be found, elsewhere. I do apologize about that.

It isn't even just that. SSTF-1 is the bottom of the barrel in terms of SST fluids. Your transmission will thank you for upgrading to something else. I changed fluids, in my personal RA, back in the day. I never looked back. It was a night and day difference.

I also refuse to post anything useful in threads containing more than 3 "!!!" in the title. It shows me that the OP is clearly still a juvenile and thus not ready to have the adult information presented to him or her.
