Q for SST fluid!

hello Ra members!!

my Ra is sitting at 40000kms level... i did do a research most ppl said change it around 15k, but unfortunately my dad wants me to follow the maintenance schedule which is changes the SST oil and filter at 48000kms.... At first i wanna pay it by myslef, but the mitsu dealer charges 850+tax .. i could not afford it as a student so my Question is.....

Wat will happenif i didnt change it tat frequently...

Now, i have a stall problem while i m reversing ... is it possible the problem is related to the SST??

thank u!!^^

Looks up, FFL-2 SST fluid and get a filter from Jeremy from SSP performance.

Once you order them all in pay the $ealership 60 bucks to do the work. you save 400$ in the end.

EDIT: Im to lazy to link a bunch of links this late at night. do some research and good luck.

This.

I wouldn't let the dealership do it though if you are going to use FFL-2 fluid. You don't want them knowing you are not using OEM fluid.

Its not that hard to change. There's a How-To on these forums. It's 3 drain plugs and filter replacement (leaving out a few details obviously)

There is a whole area just on the SST transmission:

Do a little reading, and you'll know everything you need to know.

For what it's worth, I had some strange behavior before I changed my fluid / filter recently. My filter was pretty mucked up, so I'd hazard a guess that fluid pressure was altered due to flow restriction.

No it is not related. Do you have a TBE and an intake by chance? I just recently started having a similar problem when reversing, it has something to do with airflow and MAF sensor.
