2011 Ralliart Gas Mileage
2011 Ralliart Gas Mileage
I've talked to other ralliart owners who say they are getting 350 kms per full tank.
I am lucky to get 300 kms.
This is normal driving without ever hitting boost.
Anybody else having the same problem?
Any input would be appreciated.
My car is completely stock.

Same here. I've only been getting 15-17 mpg the last 3 months. Pretty sure its the winter blend gas and just maybe winter in general? I drive normal and never hit boost for a good month and just driving like an elderly and same results. Notice a slight increase in mpg when it get warmer. I wonder if people are taking into consideration due to the extreme cold we've been getting throughout the US we have our car warming up and running before driving off 10 minutes later. Just a thought.
There are multiple factors that affect fuel economy. Using 91 octane fuel will get you better results than 93/94. Then there's winter gas, which is cheaper, but gets you worse economy numbers due to the increased amount of butane in it. Of course, your commute matters as well. Sitting in traffic jams obviously doesn't help. 300km per tank really isn't too bad for winter driving.
ElvisT and AlDim,
Notice you two are from Canada. I been seeing a lot about this ACD pump overhaul somewhere in the ON, Canada area. Acd-pump.com is the site. Do you know anything about them and where they are exactly? I live in Buffalo, NY just right over the boarder and dont mind making a trip to get in house service repair on my ACD pump.

ya I'm usually lucky to get over 300km as well. This is just going off the car, not actual calculations. God I sometimes wish the L/100km were calculated better by our cars. hate how they always start high and reset every 3 hours or so. I've never had it reset like that in previous vehicles ~_~
Also, I've heard people getting their pump fixed here in Toronto

I just fueled up today. 45 liters got me through 275km with fairly spirited driving and a mix of city, highway, and traffic jams. Naturally, AC was on the whole time since temperatures are pretty low right now.
As far as the pumps are concerned, the prices here just dropped massively, so they can be acquired brand new from dealers for $1000. Not sure about repairs.

I personally get about 480km to a tank on my '14 RA. Commute consists of morning freeway driving at 120km/h and afternoon rush hour at an average of 40km/h with some stop and go. Using 91 octane from Canadian Tire.
Only thing i could find was a 1 mpg difference in the city lol

The important difference here is not the model year, but the highway driving. Any Ralliart can easily do 500+km highway driving (at about 8-9 l/100km). However, driving predominantly in congested city traffic is a whole other story.
