Friday @ Firebird? Last chance in 2005

I was wondering if anyone is planning on hitting Firebird this Friday. I called down there yesterday and this is the last time they'll have the track open until '06 (well they have some event on Sunday where you can go race but it's some Firebird race team). Andy (red WRX wagon) and myself will be there. Will the Mynes Evo make an appearance? My brother will be there as well along with a few friends (STI and an EVOIII).

Just turned in my last paper for school so I partially have my life back (real estate school has the other half). I heard there's some more toys at the shop. I gotta stop by and see this

I thought last week was the end of the race season until January/February, but I could be wrong. I would be down to roll out there. I would like to see what the IS can do.

She said this Friday was a normal day even though it doesn't say it on the website calendar. I'll call again tomorrow just to confirm but I know she said Friday is a go.

Correction: The website does say there's racing on Friday... I was looking at the '04 December calendar

Anyways, I called them this morning and they again said there's racing on Friday.

Gates open at 6pm and they shut down around midnight.

Yeah man, couldn't take the beating anymore. Traded it last week for a black '06 IS350.

Good turnout last night. I could barely feel my fingers when I got in the car! I was a little disappointed so many pretty Evo's were spectating, luckily there were plenty of cars racing. My best was a 13.8 @ 100mph with a 1.9 60'. My goal was to get under 14 sec so I was happy. Who was that white MR learning how to stage everytime he pulled up to the line? I do believe the fastest AWD turbo'ed car last night was the STI running an 11.8. That guy wasn't going home until he was under 12

I ran that night (Yellow Evo license plate Evil Evo). I put down a 13.44 @ 101 mph and 1.9 60'. The night, however, was miserable; I failed tech the first time around because my mini battery wasn't tied down and after fixing that and returning to the track, I was limited to only a 14 sec run because my helmet didn't have a SNELL approved sticker on it. Needless I told them to go screw themselves with my one run.

I teched for 14 too 'cause I didn't think that the Lex would be that fast. So I only got one run in - 13.68 at 100 with a 2.1 '60. Not bad for an automatic luxory sedan.
