You get it tuned? Intakes will sometimes loose you power if you don't have it tuned correctly. Good luck!

 

No I didn't. I bought the K&N Typhoon intake. I bought it because they advertise 14.4 whp gain. Didn't think I would need to do anything else. Hopefully it's good to go.

 

cone filters lose power in AZ unless you are either making over 400whp, OR using the HKS Kansai airbox which allows you to run a cone filter inside it. you're probably not even noticing a gain at all. probly sounds meaner though. when i did experiment with a cone filter, the spooling was alot louder...

 

i might dust off old yeller & hurt your feelings even with it being untuned...

Is there any special reason they are opening at 6?

 

Why do they lose power? Why would they advertise the HP gains if they are no where near accurate? I'll be pretty pissed if I don't run better because it was such a pain to install the damn thing! And a waste of money obviously!!! My buddy said he noticed a HUGE difference in the EVO he drove of his customers after installing a HKS intake, exhaust, and BOV.

 

"HUGE" is subjective. I'm sure you'll do good. You're already really quick to begin with.
