Can anyone tell me what the sales tax percent is on new automobiles in California. I am ready to buy a new evo 9, but live out of state so I don't know if I should fly out/visit a friend and drive the new car home. Otherwise I would ship the car and pay 6.25% for tax in my state.

Costa Mesa, CA (where the dealer is) has a sales tax of 7.75%.

I think they compute the car sales tax from where you live, give the dealer a call to get the exact rate and goodluck.

THANK YOU MARK!
I was just going to put up a post asking about people's experiences buying here. Nice to hear that you had good experience. Any pressure to buy the extended warranty?

If you're from out of state you don't have to pay CA taxes, you will have to pay your local state Tax when you go to your local DMV to rigester it.

I FINALLY GOT AN EVO!

Mark is for real. I got there wanting a graphite gray IX, and Mark located one in Long Beach (since South Coast had sold their last graphite gray IXs), so after signing the paperwork, he drove me to the Long Beach dealership so I could drive the available graphite gray IX (with 4 miles) back to South Coast. (As a side note, there were two other buyers interested in the same car, but Mark assured me that it was mine, leaving two unhappy parties at the Long Beach dealership.) He was very friendly and courteous to both me and my family. The price was exactly as it was advertised, no gimmicks or hidden costs.

A+ overall.

Picked up my 2006 EB Evo IX yesterday and Mark M. is the greatest! He is very honest about the price you pay and gives it to you in writing. Mark and Victor helped me out yesterday, and Victor even had my car re-detailed because he saw some waterspots in the engine bay! Great guy to work with!

Any plans on extending this offer past 2/28/06?

About shipping; what kind of options do you offer (i.e. closed container)?

Damn east coast dealers are not even in the same planet in terms of price.

Bump for great deals.

What time were you there? I was there from 2 to about 5, leaving with a graphite gray IX.

But anyway, Victor is also a really cool salesman. He's a funny guy who really helps people out and is about customer service as well, not just selling cars. I would talk to him a lot when visiting South Coast, and he'd always show me around and just shoot the ****.

And today's rain was fun for testing the "gravel" setting

I am wondering if the front and rear strut bar are included with the car?
