) I'm up at 500 miles
I'm going to hold off before I start hitting the higher RPMs
Mark, thanks again for your great help and excellent service!

I want to make sure I break her in really good.
I have 500 on the clock, now...just 500 more and I'll see what she really can do
I've waited this long to get this car, I can wait 500 miles more

Personally, I never felt there was a need to baby the car for longer than recommended. You can go into higher rpms, just stay under 5k rpm like the manual suggests, and don't hit that rpm too often.
I'm just being a little bit more cautious, cause I want to keep this car for 6-8 years (wishfully thinking)... and it may become my next auto-x car, but we'll have to wait and see
I'm not driving it like a grandma, just keeping the RPMs below 4500
