Just wanted to publicly thank the guys at Speed Element and MPJ Performance in Fremont for the special effort they made in my Exedy Twin Disc clutch installation. As it turned out the clutch I bought from another vendor was defective. Speed Element installed it, got the car running and found the clutch was not working properly. They then took it out, sent it back to the factory for repair and then reinstalled it in the car. They insisted on not charging me more for the double installation and now the clutch works perfectly. Thanks guys, you have my business in the future.

 

That's awesome to hear. I can understand why shops don't want to install products that weren't purchased from them for this very reason. It's nice to find parts on-line that are way cheaper than the retailer but in the end, it may cost you more.

I remember getting a Walbro for the STi and it was the wrong one. I ended up getting one at full pop and ended up selling the wrong one for a loss.

 

Yeah, and I probably could have bought the clutch cheaper through Cal at Speed Element anyhow.
