Isn't it amazing how quickly everyone can turn against you......lol

I guess Im just bias because of all the welfare people in this town and all the things I know my wife has to go through with people that come in wanting free money. I understand that people can fall on hard times....god knows I've had mine, but I stuck it out and did it without state aid, and I was living on bare essentials until I bettered my situation. I don't have a problem with the elderly person that seeks aid because they can't afford perscription drugs and need help making ends meet. I have a problem driving by and seeing cars more expensive then mine and meanwhile I'm working my *** off to provide a good life for my family.
People on welfare should not have "luxury" items: expensive cars, Cell phones, cable/sat TV, broadband. Life for a person on welfare should not be enjoyable....if it were and you could have all the things a person who works has, then why would you ever get off welfare?? Life should be miserable for someone on aid so that they bust their butt to try to get off so they can have a better life. The welfare system in this country doesn't help people, it enables them.

It does depend on where you live and what you're used to growing up and so one. I see your point, but I just had a different situation.

my wife is an optical shop manager. get her going on welfare patients. it's amazing how many come in and want the **** for free, then see the selection of state offered and paid for glasses, then whip out a wad of cash and decide to pop 3-4bills because they don't like the ones you and I are paying for. she sees time and time again a welfare mother with kids coming in, and has a bf living with her, making a good living, but they still collect from the system. it's all just wrong, but it is the system.

Idaho stated a thing a while ago with food stamps. you are only allowed to collect for 24 months, then it's cut off. kinda forces you to think about work and improving your standings.. I, personally would like to see more state/govt. agencies adopt this type of philosophy. don't necessarily agree with a full cutoff, but force them to get jobs and then cut the amt. they are collecting...

ok, done ranting

Okay this is really dumb. If you are getting pissed off assuming that the Evo belongs to a Welfare recipient, maybe you can get pissed off at this. Ever heard of Social Security Supplement? If not, let me give you a quick education. People who are brought to this wonderful country of ours by their family who are close to 66 (which didn't put any money into the system) can get social security? That's like an average $500.00 a month for free.
