You know, we will probably read about this Welfare recipient driving a new modded Evo in those neo-con anti-everything emails. I got one about ridiculous lawsuits. I thought they did sound weird so I spent several hours researching them. Guess what. They never happened. All lies. Why? People love to get mad and attack others. They love to be self-righteous and judgmental. It is difficult to do that with real people and real positions.
This is related to the weird “survey” that was sent to my dad by a local Republican congressman. The questions were bizarre. No one, conservative or progressive would have voted any differently but were designed to imply that his opponents were going to take your house and force your children to commit heinous acts while turning the country over to terrorists. Of course no one in either party would ever move in this direction.
If we continue down the neo-con path of lies, hatred and division we will end up like Kosovo or Iraq.

A related story. I read about a young guy in Arizona who has a trick modded truck. All jacked up and the center of his life. He has a parking pass and can't get in his truck without two people lifting him up there. Took shrapnel in the spine in Iraq. I don't begrudge him his pass or his government support. I wonder if he will end up on Welfare?

 

Say it was someone on welfare... at least the tax money we pay is going to something worth it!! lets see... EVO? or Crack? which would you have your tax money spent on?

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. This is a very small office, maybe 20 people working there tops. Everybody knows everybody, and nobody there has a husband/son/nephew/cousin with an Evo. 2nd, Everybody that works there, and everybody that knows them that comes to the office comes in a DIFFERENT entrance and goes to a DIFFERENT parking lot behind the building. The employees are NOT ALLOWED to park in the front as it is restricted for "recipient parking", and the welfare recipients are NOT ALLOWED to go behind the building. This is a rule that everybody knows and everybody has to follow. From day one of my wife's employment she told me to always drive around to the back of the building, as do all the other people tell their spouses.

This whiney attitude of "man you're so mean, you don't know, you're assuming" is laughable. The fact of the matter is that someone collecting state medical/welfare/foodstamps has an Evo and that should make any tax payer pissed. Having a welfare worker for a spouce I hear stories daily of how people are scamming the system. If you had any clue how people get free money from the state for doing absolutely nothing, you'd be just as pissed.

People that abuse the system eventually get caught. Yes we do not have the evidence to prove that the EVO owner is a welfare recipient. The point is that a normal citizen should be bothered knowing that someone is abusing the system. After reviewing the reply’s to this post it appears that most people do not have a problem with widespread fraud. Instead, we have evidence that this society is rapidly declining and lacks moral character.

 

Some of the worst abuses of the system are not the little people but by the big people. "The Bridge to Nowhere" is a prime example of day to day Republican policy.
The thing that worries me most about our society is the new atmosphere of always assuming the worst about everyone who doesn't go to my church or who believes in science or votes differently or doesn't drive an Evo. People who break the law should be prosecuted even if they are Senators, Vice Presidents or Representatives from Texas.
We don't even know if anyone has done anything wrong here and everyone is so excited.
Grow up and look at bigger problems.
