mike i was unaware that you did your own build..... I know jay had a problem letting Kingppin do it... so if he could do it why did they take it to kingpin and vivid? I am wondering? I know you guys do great *** work just was unaware of big work like that of engine builds.

O, that all happened before we had our shop. This is Evo8 that you're referring to... and it all happened between Nov 04 and March '05. Once we got our shop and all the tools/eqip installed (which began in April of 05), we started doing it ourselves.

We are not releasing this build to the public (yet) b/c we wanted to fine-tune the combo of parts to find one that yields the most power CONSISTENLY and RELIABLY This project, along with the other projects (s/w reflash tool) have been in the testing phase for a very long time... and we are very excited about their upcoming release.

Yeah I had some problems, but they are done and over with. This all happen before we open up shop here in Mesa. And also the engine that Vivid help me out with, that engine is not in my Evo 8. I took that engine out when I open up shop here, it's a totally different setup than 1 year and a half ago.

Dyno-comp is a very clean shop but make sure you bring a blank check to Richard Garcia. He is very profesional and his shop is top notch but unless you get a smoking deal his shop would be the most expensive in my opinion.

I would never bring my car to Kingpin for any kind of service. I don't doubt they are knowleadble, their previous shop was the worst tuning shop I have ever seen in my life, it looks more like a junk yard than a tuning shop and I am not just saying this just about the maintenance area, I am talking about their offices are as nasty.

The good thing is that they do have competitive prices and knowleadble people.

do'h!!! Nah, we do more than just evo's Well, you've seen the Mini Coopers, Eclipses, Scoobies and other cars at the shop, right We can tune quite a few variety of cars (turbos, sc and NA engines)... before opening the shop here in AZ, Jay used to tune quite a bit of Supras and Mazda's in Florida.
