Drive from Santa Cruz to Campbell (San Jose) I lived out there when I went to school there. Love that road, and it is Evo-friendly!!

I grew up in Santa Cruz and have driven HWY 17 hundereds of times. It is indeed the ideal stretch of road for an Evo. I have never driven it since I've owned one, though.

Nothing like ripping through the redwoods on a sunny day.

17 really isnt that nice. its too open to be fun and people drive too slow, plus there's a million chp. i drive there 4x a week.

I drive 17 quite a bit as well, it would be an awesome EVO road if not for all the slow, crappy drivers and blind corners with CHP waiting on the other side.

I've got a couple buddies that like to tear up Page Mill Road in the mornings (when it's relatively empty) but they have more ***** than I do.

I drive this road 5 times a week, and I have been over and back probably aroudn 1000 times. It is much more fun in my evo than my 96 corolla, but there are too many people in the way usually, I have only have 1 flawless drive back home (south 17) and boy was that a blast.

I suggest to anyone going over 17 a bunch, try out old santa cruz highway and summit rd to old san jose road, this is probably the best driving road that I have found yet.

I got pulled on 17 last weekend and I wouldn't recommend driving too fast on it. It's a great road and not a ton of traffic, but a ton of CHP all over the place.
