Now I know you were being sarcastic with that little remark about you beating me. But as I just said if I WERE TO RACE YOU YOU WOULD LOSE. I have no doubts about it. I tell ya what I get my clutch done on either wednesday or thursday. However, I want you to race my buddy rob one more time. This time you go from a 60roll to 130. Whoever gets there first wins. Racing 1 gear for split second isnt a race bud. I could race ams 1000whp evo in 1 gear for a split second and stay with it. But its racing it for a couple gears through the rpm's that will tell you who wins.

I know all about the race cause I heard from him and you. What happened was you both slowed down you slowed down to 50 and you were 1 car length behind and he slowed down to 60. He heard you drop it in 4th you spooled instantly and caught up to him and from there he dropped it to 3rd, and then he spooled, well by the time it takes to drop it to 3rd then go, and you are already going well then I can see why he didnt pull on you initially but I can gaurantee you that if you were to race through 5th gear he would have pulled on you so hard.

Then if you beat rob(which I highly doubt it) then you can have your shot at me. And we will put money down on it. Its up to you.

You are going to do this at a track right? And what business is it of mine, well... my insurance rates are a month away from renewal for one thing. If you have an accident on a track, it won't affect my rates, but if you have one on a public street, then damn, the data goes into the system and affects everyone to some degree. Plus this is "San Diego" and it's bad enough driving an Evo as it is.

Anyway, this is most likely none of my business anyway.

Two people recently die and you want to prove your car is faster in a pointless race in which everyone here knows you'll already win. Let's take it down a notch guys.

 

I really should have stayed in 4th so you could pull on me and feel good for a second before My car got going. Third gear only goes to 85mph I had no business dropping into 3rd. I heard your turbo spool early all the while I was going 60mph or less trying to slow down to the speed you wanted to start at. Then your on here posting about it. I made the wrong decision to through away a gear. If you want to compare a 35r to a stock turbo there is NO comparison.
I would pull on corvettes in my old evo by dropping into fourth too. . But, was I faster? the corvette guy didn't think so. I raced a civic w/ a ls vtec when My car was stock and I was blazed. He would tell the story to his grand kids. I hope you're not running around town talking about your great race against a 35r!?. I'm going around talking about the gayest race ever.

 

i know your talking about staying door to door with me on the forums which is enough.

And on a final note, Rob, if you hadn't dropped it into 3rd you would have been owned so badly. If you tried to take off from a roll in 4th at 60mph or less (like you said you were going) in a gt35, the lag from the turbo would have been so bad I would have been slowing down by the time you got into spool. I wasn't bragging about ****, I was just giving you a hard time. No doubt you will overtake me at higher speeds.

i dont know if any of you remember the evo ix that was racing my friends sti, it was silver, anyways, they were somewhat racing on the streets yesterday and the evo lost control and rolled about 6 times. his car is no longer and the driver and two other passengers are alright, however they still needed to go to the hospital. the driver of the evo knew the streets well, and so did my friend with the sti, but the evo persisited on passing the sti around some corner and last thing you knew he we rolling. probably hit something in the road. this is looking like a bad winter so far for evos.

 

Anybody interested in buying a used set of JIC FLT-A2 coilovers?

I'm about to take mine off and put back the stock suspension, planning to upgrade soon to the Vishnu-Ohlins setup.


Just thought I'd give somebody an early heads up in case that sounds interesting to somebody thinking of a suspension change.
