Yes it is! The only factor that would differ is whethor or not you would run the speed density ems setup. For example you can run a smooth lobed 264 cam with a stock turbo. Or you can run a rough lobed cam with a stock turbo and a speed density setup. The turbo has nothing to do with it unless you are running a huge turbo then you would need 272 or 280 in which then you must consider if you would need a speed density setup with that particular cam.

Cracing already posted that he plans on doing some extensive modifying. Why havent you taken that into consideration? Its your post that is misinforming. You cant advise someone to get a cam for only their present setup. For you to do this is misinforming.

Cracing, from what it sounds like you might want to go with a cam that will have smooth lobes. The reason why is cause since you chose the 50trim kit you arent looking for optimal peak power rather a quick spooling with more power type of a car. In which I would go with a cam with smooth lobes. Thats just what I would do to make life a little easier. Now if you wanted to optimize ever hp with your build then yes go with a aggressive cam like the jun 272. I beleive when I spoke to chris at ams he said that he made more hp with the jun 272 on the gt42r than he did with the gsc 280 due to the aggressiveness of the lobes and needing to run the speed density. But the increase in power over the gsc cam was less than 5hp.
