Guys, I want to say special thanks to those of you that made the long trip from Phoenix and Wilcox just to make it to the dyno. Two thumbs up to the AZ Evo/STI community, we are always there.

Without your support we couldn't have made it. Special thanks to :

Douglas(Spoolin)
Douglas (Naucrx)
Viny (Evo8drifter)
Ram (Evo8RC)
Rob (Fastrob)

and also thanks to the local Evo owner:

Ray(rraulston)
Gabe
Mike(poorboys)
Mr Vanderpool (silver Evo)
Ryan(Silver STI)
Ryans friends
Bill (GG Evo 9)
Socorro(Evo9grl)
Myself (Carlos)

and all other people present. I had a blast chating to everyone of you and I enjoyed your presence. Also thanks to IAperformance staff for their great customer service. Socorro ended making more torque.

Take care people!!

Carlos and Socorro

illo Carlito que?

What was the final whp/tq reading on Socorro's IX? The difference with the last dyno was just the test pipe, rite?

cheers

Humidity was the killer last night. 45% when I did my pulls. Based on prior numbers it looked like most were running 15-20whp less than anticipated last night thanks to the humidity and temp.

I ended up with 316whp 307wtq..... (Mustang dyno numbers) I'm expecting over 330whp come cooler temps and low humidity.

Overall it was a great time though. Fun to hang out with everyone and see the Evos. I would like to have seen what some of the STi did on the dyno, but I had to head out.

^^^^^Douglas,

He managed to pull those numbers on 91oct. His best pull was the second pull, he reached up to 24ish psi on 91oct and managed a best dyno figure at 24.2psi peak.

I believe the main difference between Bill's car and Evo9grl car(Socorro) is the 02 Hosuing, other than that they are a match of mods brands(Greddy Cat back,BuschurLICP,mail-in flash, etc)

Douglas, I observe a pattern of low dyno numbers from two Evo 9's. After speaking with both of you I found that your dyno numbers were that low due to the low boost you were running. 19PSI isn't going to get you too far, your stock solenoid was yielding all the power.

You need to get the MBC installed and wait until you get your awsome mail-in flash from Al. My Evo 9 is no exception, you should be making near numbers of what me and Bill(GG Evo 9) made.

Take care

Carlos

What is up Sergio?, The numbers were lower due to temps and humidity. I hate this place bro, if the temps don't kill your numbers the altitude will and if the altitude wouldn't then the sticky humidity from the mosnon rains and clouds would, just pick one, last night all three conditioning factors were present.

All these factors negatively affected everyone on the dyno. Socorro got 300whp/309tq now. We need to take the car to Phoenix to AZdynochip and test the car on their dynojet ina cooler environment.

That was 91 octane 23psi. 87F ambient w/ 45% humidity.

Actually my max psi was 23.3 (rouned) on both my 1st and 2nd runs. The 1st run was a pinch more than the 2nd, but the 2nd made more power.... go figure.

Ahhh, guess I should have turned my boost up, I thought 19psi was pushing it on 91 octane? I did 285whp with 18-19psi. Dyno is lame anyways, I prefer to go to the drag strip.

The common say is 24psi is max for pump gas. With our crap I wouldnt go past 23. I generally keep mine around 21-22.

I don't consider the dyno lame though. Its a good tool to measure performance after adding mods. I only wish we didnt have the asstastic humidity last night. But I do hear ya.... its time to get some track time now
